Legal issues involved in safeguarding the future of your special needs child

Lisa Wilson, an attorney with 13 years experience in special needs estate planning and guardianship, will discuss government benefit programs, guardianship and special needs trusts. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and is the parent of a 22 year old daughter with Down Syndrome.

A presentation on language delays and speech therapy with Melissa Hernandez of Leaps in Language

Melissa is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and specializes in working with children from preschool through high school, as well as a background working with adult clients. She graduated from the University of Houston with her Bachelors’ and Master’s degree in Communication Disorders. She has been the director of Leaps in Language for 6 years.
